2021

Marjorie was called to the Bar in 2021. She worked for many years as a senior associate in a national commercial law firm in its Canberra, Melbourne and Brisbane offices. Whilst a solicitor, her principal areas of practice were acting for private sector and government clients in commercial and insurance litigation. She has extensive experience acting for professionals (lawyers, accountants, constructions professionals) in the defence of professional negligence claims and is very familiar with preparing a matter for hearing and participating in alternative dispute resolution. Marjorie has also practised in the United Kingdom and was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales in 2003.

Marjorie has appeared in the Supreme, District and Magistrates Courts and has drafted pleadings in those courts. She has also advised in commercial and competition matters, wills and estates matters and insurance litigation.
